CO2 for refrigeration is increasingly prominent in the supermarket sector due its inherent lower GWP. Typically, the air-conditioning is often a separate system. However, it is now possible to combine the refrigeration and air conditioning into a single system thereby allowing the entire system to run off a single CO2 pack, and giving economies of scale.
